On Saturday May 10, 2008 at the Holiday Inn North Hotel in Lexington, Kentucky, Willard Joe Trammell was presented an award by the Kentucky Self Advocates For Freedom, Inc.
 

Willard J. Trammell, the Co-Founder of the Southeastern Kentucky People Who Care was the first Self-Advocacy person to win the Self-Advocate Award.
